OOC: info post!
May. 6th, 2021 09:00 amNo changes for my alumni right now so I'm saving myself the gif coding. As for the others…
Harry Potter

imawizard | Harry Potter | 16 years old | Student
-Even if you've never read the books, this guy is like the fourth or fifth version we've had here.
-Orphan who learned at the age of eleven that he was a wizard, and who went off to a wizard school called Hogwarts with all his new witch and wizards friends. (Mostly Ron and Hermione, what up.)
-When he was a baby he survived an attack by a Dark Wizard named Voldemort who got vanquished by trying to use a killing curse on him, killed Harry's parents and left him to be raised by abusive relatives, and left Harry with a lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.
-A celebrity in the wizarding world. It has its good parts and bad.
-Coming in the summer before Half-Blood Prince. He's had a couple years of trauma including seeing people die, but he's not capslocky about it this year.
-Is, again, a wizard, who will always have his wand on him. He can do pretty much anything from repairing items to making potions to casting hexes and jinxes. He's not supposed to do magic outside of school but people are going to pull some strings on that.
-Is kind of the golden boy, who breaks a lot of rules for the right reasons and doesn't get in nearly as much trouble as anyone else would for it. He always means well, though.
-Will probably fail all his classes without Hermione.
-And will definitely be weirded out by BDEs that happen anytime other than June.
-We disavow JK Rowling in this house..
Rey

thatwaslucky | Star Wars | 20 years old | Townie
-From current movie canon, between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. Time's slowed down back home while I beg and whine for them to give me some idea of what's happening after that movie.
-An orphan abandoned on a desert world when she was five, and raised herself, living as a scavenger.
-Then found out she's Force sensitive, accidentally bonded with the movie villain that she really wishes would switch sides, and joined up with the Resistance to take down the bad guys. Occasionally pops back home to do rebel stuff as I find time. Also gets training there from her version of Anakin's daughter. It gets awkward sometimes.
-Now a couple years into Jedi training with
sith_happened. I love it so much. She's still iffy about actually being called a Jedi, though. She feels she hasn't earned it.
-Is dating
long_memory, because that whole "no attachments" rule was stupid anyway.
-Really open about her powers and quite a bit of her traumas. She's always wearing her lightsaber around town and you can always watch her show off in the warehouse on Fridays. The obstacle course keeps getting more insane.
Kitty Pryde-Barton

throughaphase | X-Men | 27 years old | Townie
-Mutant who can phase through solid matter. Her natural state is intangible and she stays solid through sheer force of will. She's open about it, and only uses things like doors to be polite sometimes. When she remembers. There's a good chance she just walks through a wall in front of you because she's not thinking about it.
-Is also pretty open about being a superhero, though she's currently not doing it right now.
-Somewhere... somewhere in canon right now. Post-AvX, pre- me doing anything else.
-Teacher during the school year. She takes summers off.
-Runs Caritas the whole year round. Her shift is Tuesday.
-Married to
so_hawkward and their daughter Lexi is two!
-Easy to get along with, and also a little freaked out at just how used to the weirdness of the island she is.

lovethatjourney | Schitt's Creek | 16 years old | Student
-Very pre-canon.
-Spoiled rich princess whose family isn't keeping tabs on her so she does whatever, which means she bounces from place to place having adventures that end in way more kidnappings than you'd think.
-Her dad's a video store mogul and her mom's a soap opera actress and she's a celebutante in the vein of 2000s era Paris Hilton so a lot of these adventures involve famous people.
-Her parents think she's been in Switzerland this whole time. Like, since she first got here and got kidnapped by a goat man a year ago.
-If you haven't seen her around, she'd probably bopped over to another country for a bit.
-Talks with a very affected vocal fry and lilts at the end of sentences, and has very pronounced facial expressions and mannerisms that I try very hard to get across and usually fail at.
-Will date all the boys, NPCs and PW guests. But only for a month, max. HMU.
Nick Miller

gotyoucookie | New Girl | 33 years old | Teacher
-From after season three of a Fox sitcom that ended a few years ago.
-Former law school student turned bartender turned aspiring novelist.
-His friends decided to push him to do something new by signing him up for an assembly last fall. It went so well (no it didn't) he applied for a job on a whim not thinking he would get it.
-Had a big breakup.
-Got the job clear across the country.
-Actually took it to get over her.
-Stayed on for summer, wtf.
-My second Chicagoan, though this one just came from LA.
-Human disaster. Irrationally angry about and at life. Refuses to call the landlord about anything. Doesn't use a wallet. Thinks north is up. Fist pumps to Cotton Eye Joe. Doesn't trust fish. Has the credit score of a homeless ghost. Calls DNA "D and A." Panic Moonwalks out of uncomfortable situations.
Jaye Tyler

fates_jaye | Wonderfalls | 24 years old | Townie
-Started at Fandom High in 2005. Is now 24. It works if you're her.
-Going through an extremely slow canon catchup. Extremely.
-There also might be a guy involved there. Again, extremely slow catchup.
-Works at Caritas on Saturdays when I remember to post.
-Inanimate objects called muses talk to her and tell her to do things. If she doesn't listen, bad things happen. If you want some interference or help in making your character do things, hit me up, as long as it ends in something good happening.
-You cannot hear the muses.
-A couple people have found out about it in her time on island, but it's not common knowledge. You may see her talking to her purse or random animal objects and react to that, though.
-Otherwise a slacker from upstate New York who works retail and lives in a trailer because she likes disappointing her family, though she's beginning to not like being a disappointment.
Maeve Wiley

complexfemale | Sex Education | 17 years old | Student
-Hails from some vaguely British town, probably roundabouts present day.
-Got a reputation as a trashy, no good rebel type and decided to just own it.
-Looks like a Hot Topic exploded all over her.
-She's at home for the first part of the summer to go through some canon, and will look different when she comes back.
-Big smoker and a compulsive nail-biter.
-Under all that ~image~ she's extremely smart and starting to lean into that.
-Lived on her own in a trailer back home.
-Got expelled from her last school for selling drugs, which she didn't do and only copped to to protect her deadbeat brother.
-Works at Luke's on Sundays to pay for the trailer that any of her deadbeat family members might come home to.

-On CST but my heart's in LA.
-I work in an office that is currently on a staggered schedule, and my boss just moved to Florida so I don't have anyone watching me constantly, so I'm around anytime I'm not swamped.
-My life for the last six months has been Stressful and Adult in ways that have also been a giant timesuck.
-And then I went and bought a house like an idiot.
-I painted most of it the same color as the kitchen in New Girl.
-And my bedroom paint color was inspired by Carrie Fisher's house.
-This is what's happened to me over quarantine, people.
